Len’s Love Story with Art & Water Colour:
Len Harfield’s passion for art has been a lifelong journey, one that naturally evolved into a dedicated practice of watercolour painting beginning in 1993. Over the years, he has continued to expand his artistic expression through oils and acrylics, while maintaining a special connection to the fluidity and luminosity of watercolour.
Living in Ontario’s picturesque Kawartha Lakes region near Bobcaygeon, Len draws constant inspiration from the landscapes and quiet beauty surrounding him.
His time spent on Manitoulin Island has also deeply influenced his work, inspiring many of his most memorable paintings. Rural rail fences, weathered farm buildings, northern shorelines, florals, and atmospheric Parisian-inspired street scenes all find their place within his portfolio.
Known for his expressive use of light, rich colour, and strong composition, Len creates paintings that capture both mood and memory. His work can be found in private collections across Canada and internationally.
